Privacy Policy

Sharon Blackwood, operating as TaxReady Keeper ("we", "us") is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. You can reach us at support@taxreadykeeper.com.

We only collect what the app needs to work. There are four groups:

• Account information: your name, email address and a hashed password. We do not ask for your Social Security number, tax identification number or bank details.
• Business profile: the details you choose to save in Settings, such as your business name, business type, tax year and preferred currency.
• Records you create: the expenses, receipt files (images and PDFs) and mileage trips you add. The contents are yours — we store them so the app can show totals and produce reports.
• Billing information: your plan, subscription status, renewal date and a customer reference. Card numbers and other payment credentials go directly to our payment provider and are never stored in our systems.

We also receive basic technical data when you use the app, such as error reports that help us fix crashes. We do not build advertising profiles and we do not track you across other websites.

• To run the app: store your records, calculate totals, and produce the reports and exports you ask for.
• To secure your account: sign you in, confirm your email address, and handle password resets.
• To manage billing: start and end your trial, process your subscription through our payment provider, and show your plan in Settings.
• To talk to you: reply to support requests and send service messages such as password resets.
• To keep the app working and safe: diagnose errors, prevent abuse, and enforce our Terms.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Subscriptions are processed by Stripe. When you check out, Stripe collects your payment details directly and handles them under its own privacy policy. We receive a customer reference, your plan and its status — enough to know whether your subscription is active. We cannot see your card number, and we cannot charge your card outside the checkout and renewal process Stripe manages.

Prices are set in US dollars. Stripe may display and bill your subscription in your local currency, which is why the amount shown at checkout can appear in a currency other than dollars.

Your data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure with access controlled so that only authorised systems can reach it. Your receipt files are stored in private storage, which means they are not publicly listed and can only be retrieved by the account that uploaded them. Traffic between your device and the app is encrypted in transit.

No method of storage is completely secure, so we describe our controls honestly rather than promise more than we can deliver. If a breach affecting your information ever occurs, we will tell you in the way the law requires.

We share information with a small number of service providers who process it for us:

• Our cloud hosting and database provider, which stores account and record data.
• Our payment provider (Stripe), which processes subscriptions and issues billing records.
• Our email delivery service, which sends sign-up and password messages.

Each of these providers handles data only to deliver the part of the service it supports. We may also disclose information if we are required to by law, or if we must protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. If the business were ever sold or transferred, customer information would be part of that transfer and this policy would tell you.

The app uses only the storage necessary to keep you signed in and to remember your preferences between visits. There are no advertising cookies, no social-media tracking pixels, and no cross-site profiling. Clearing your browser storage will sign you out.

We keep your records for as long as your account is open. If you close your account, or ask us to, we delete your expenses, receipts and mileage and remove your account details. Some information may remain where we are required to keep it — for example billing records our payment provider must retain for tax and accounting rules.

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

• show you what personal information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete your information;
• give you a copy of your data in a usable format;
• stop processing your information for a while, or object to certain uses.

You can do most of this yourself inside the app: edit your details in Settings, remove records you no longer want, or export your data from the Reports page. For anything else, email support@taxreadykeeper.com and we will handle the request. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

TaxReady Keeper is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, tell us and we will close it and remove the data.

The app is operated from the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, your information is processed in the United States and under the laws of that country. By using the app you accept that transfer.

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date shown at the top of this page and, for meaningful changes, tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
