Refund & Cancellation Policy

This policy sets out how TaxReady Keeper subscriptions renew, how to cancel, and what happens to money already paid. It works alongside the Terms of Service and applies to the free Starter plan and the paid Pro and Business plans.

Effective date: September 22, 2026

1. The short version

  • Every new paid subscription starts with a 14-day free trial. Nothing is charged during the trial.
  • You can cancel at any time, in a couple of clicks, without contacting anyone.
  • Cancelling stops the next payment. It takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.
  • We do not issue refunds for subscription payments.

2. The 14-day free trial

The trial gives you the full paid features for 14 days before any charge. If you cancel before the trial ends, your subscription simply ends and your card is never charged.

If you do nothing, the subscription continues and your payment method is charged for the first billing period at the price shown when you signed up. If you would rather not be charged, cancel on or before day 14.

3. How to cancel

  • Sign in and open Settings.
  • Choose Manage billing. This opens your secure billing page, hosted by our payment provider.
  • Select Cancel subscription and confirm.

You do not need to explain why, speak to anyone, or give notice in advance. If you get stuck, email support@taxreadykeeper.com from your account address and we will cancel it for you.

4. When cancellation takes effect

Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Your subscription will not renew, and no further payment will be taken.

Until that date you keep everything you paid for: your plan limits, your reports, and access to your records. We recommend exporting your data from the Reports page before your access changes.

5. Refunds

Subscription payments are non-refundable. This applies to monthly and yearly payments on both the Pro and Business plans, and to partial periods — if you cancel shortly after a renewal, the payment for that period is not returned, but you keep access until the period ends.

The trial exists precisely so you can decide whether the Service is right for you before paying anything, and you can cancel at any point during it at no cost.

If you believe a charge is a duplicate or was made in error, email support@taxreadykeeper.com with the date and amount. We will look into it and, where a charge was genuinely wrong, put it right.

6. Changing plans

You can switch between plans from your billing page. Changes made by our payment provider follow its proration rules, and we do not refund the difference when you move to a cheaper plan mid-period.

7. What happens to your data afterwards

Your records are not deleted the moment your subscription ends. You can sign in, view your history, and export it. If you want your account and everything in it removed, ask us at support@taxreadykeeper.com and we will delete it — see the Privacy Policy for how deletion works and the narrow cases where a billing record is kept.

8. Failed payments

If a renewal payment fails, our payment provider may retry it. If the payment cannot be completed, your paid access may pause or end until the payment is updated in your billing page. Updating your card there is usually all it takes to restore access.
