Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and TaxReady Keeper. By creating an account or using the app you accept them, so please read them — particularly the sections on billing and on what the app does not do.

Effective date: September 22, 2026

1. Who we are

The service is provided by Sharon Blackwood, operating as TaxReady Keeper ("we", "us"). "Service" means the TaxReady Keeper website and app at taxreadykeeper.com, along with the features we make available from time to time. "You" means the person or business using it.

2. Who can use it

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be legally able to enter into a contract, and if you use the Service for a business, you must be able to bind that business.
  • You must provide accurate information when you register, and keep it up to date in Settings.

3. What the Service does

TaxReady Keeper helps you record business expenses, attach receipt files, log mileage, and review totals and reports for a chosen tax year. You decide what to record and what to do with the output. We provide the tooling; the judgment calls stay with you.

4. Not tax, accounting or legal advice

This is the most important section of these terms. TaxReady Keeper is an organisation tool. It is not a tax preparer, an accountant, or a law firm, and it does not give tax, accounting or legal advice.

  • Amounts the app labels as deductions are potential deductions — estimates based on what you entered, not determinations of what is deductible.
  • We do not guarantee any tax outcome, refund, reduction in liability, or saving of any kind.
  • You are responsible for the accuracy of your records and for how you file. Before you rely on anything, check it with a qualified tax professional who knows your situation.

5. Your account and your security

Keep your password private and do not share your login. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@taxreadykeeper.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission, and we will help secure it.

6. Your content

You own the records you put into the app — expenses, receipts, mileage and notes. We claim no ownership of them. You give us permission to store, process and display them purely so we can provide the Service to you, and to back them up and keep the platform running.

You confirm that you have the right to upload the material you add, that it is lawful, and that you will not use the Service to store anything illegal or harmful.

7. Plans, trials and billing

  • We offer a free Starter plan and paid Pro and Business plans, at the prices shown on the pricing page when you sign up.
  • New paid subscriptions begin with a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial.
  • If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your subscription continues and your payment method is charged for the first billing period.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically each month or year until you cancel. The renewal price is the price shown at the time you subscribed, and we will tell you before a price change reaches your account.
  • Prices are set in US dollars. Depending on where you are, our payment provider may display and bill in your local currency.
  • Any sales tax or similar charge that applies is added by our payment provider where it is required to do so.

8. Cancelling and refunds

You can cancel at any time from the "Manage billing" area in Settings. Cancelling stops future renewals; it takes effect at the end of the period you have already paid for, and you keep full access until then.

We do not issue refunds for subscription payments. Because the trial is free and no payment is taken until it ends, you can always try the Service before you spend anything. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for the full picture.

9. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • break the law, or use the Service to record or hide unlawful activity;
  • try to reach another person's account or data, or probe, scan or test the Service for weaknesses without our permission;
  • copy, resell, reverse-engineer or run automated scraping of the Service, or build a competing product from it;
  • upload malware, or send abusive, harassing, defamatory or deceptive material through it;
  • make false or misleading claims about the Service, including saying it guarantees tax savings.

10. Third parties

The Service depends on other companies — our hosting provider and Stripe for payments. They have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their acts or omissions. If you stop paying for a subscription, the payment provider's records of your billing history are governed by their policies and retention rules.

11. Our intellectual property

The app itself — its design, code, layout and the TaxReady Keeper name and branding — belongs to us. You may not copy it or use the brand without our written permission. Your data stays yours.

12. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service running, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. We may add, change or withdraw features, and we may suspend access for maintenance or to protect the platform. If we make a change that meaningfully reduces what your paid plan offers, we will tell you in advance.

13. Suspension and termination

You can stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account if these terms are broken, if payment fails, or if we must do so to protect the Service or other users. Where we can, we will explain why and give you a chance to put it right.

14. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that results from using it will be accurate, complete, or accepted by any tax authority.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, or for lost profits, data, or tax positions arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or to $50 if you have paid nothing.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.

16. Indemnity

If a third party brings a claim against us because of your use of the Service, your content, or your breach of these terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses arising from that claim.

17. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules, and the parties submit to the courts located in Florida for any dispute. Before filing a claim, please contact us — most problems are resolved quickly by email.

18. General

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest continues to apply. If we do not enforce something now, we can still enforce it later. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund and Cancellation Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the Service.
